Licenses for DAF are available with the following options:
Stand-alone server DAF License: One license
per server and per DAF User Database.
Full server DAF License: One license per server
basis (The license owner may have an unlimited number of DAF Users Databases located on
one server.)
Full company site DAF License: One license per
organization basis (The license owner may have an unlimited number of DAF Users Databases
located on an unlimited number of servers.)

With this license option, you need to register a DAF Engine for each
physical server
and, if needed, extra DAF User Database Extensions, also for each server.
DAF Engine STANDARD and PRO
The DAF Engine is an IIS ISAPI filter. It is the executable code able to
handle HTTP authentication requests against any text and/or ODBC data source used as a web
user database. A DAF Engine includes access to one DAF User Database. For
example, to use one user database installed on one physical server, only one DAF Engine
license needs to be registered.

DAF User Database Extensions |
|
A DAF User Database Extension (also called a users list or data source), is a text file
or an ODBC source which contains all users logins and passwords to access one or several
virtual web sites. For example, to use three user databases installed on one physical
server and attached to three different web sites, one DAF Engine and two DAF User Database
licenses need to be registered.

More information about DAF User Database Extensions:
The DAF Engine includes access to ONE user database. If access to more than
one user database is needed, extra DAF User Database Extensions should be registered. This
is only a license matter. Regardless of the number of user databases used, the same Data
Engine is employed. It is possible to add or remove user databases according to your
changing requirements.
Changing the number of user databases registered does not require that
you reinstall DAF, restart the server or restart IIS. The number of IP addresses,
Port number or Host Names attached to one user database is unlimited. The number of users
in a user database is unlimited.
This DAF License enables the use of an unlimited number of users lists
located on ONE server.
