Remote Active Technical Support
Since release DAF 4.0 it is possible to connect remotely to the DAF Engine using a Telnet-like access. The purpose of this feature is to enable remote active technical support. If all basic support solutions (FAQ, Troubleshooting page, e-mail) have failed you can request a Remote Active Technical Support to the DAF Support. In many cases a quick connection to your DAF Engine by a DAF specialist will be able to troubleshoot your configuration.
To request Remote Active Technical Support please follow instructions in the section Prepare your configuration for Remote Access.
For more information on what is possible through the remote access, click here. To disable the remote access, click here.

IP Address:
By default, the IP address is the first IP address defined in the server configuration TCP/IP configuration. In other words, it is the IP address visible under Tab <IP Address> in the TCP/IP configuration (before pressing <Advanced ...>).

2. Server must be visible
The server must visible for the person who will connect. In most cases this means that the server must be accessible through the Internet using a specific IP address and port number.
If the server is
behind a FireWall, connection to the IP address and port number must be allowed.
3. Create a login and password
Valid login and password are:
In most cases, a sound and safe solution is to create the new NT local group "DAFAdmin" and create a new NT User member of groups "Guests" and "DAFAdmin" (No other NT rights are required.).
4. Try to connect
