Web Hosts Configuration
A Web Host is a combination of an IP Address, Port Number and Host Header Name.
Creating a Web Host
This step is required only if you intend to attach a User list to Web Hosts (Host Header Name) and not only to IP Addresses.
- Launch the DAF Configuration Tool (Release 4.0 beta 4 or later)
- Press the button "Web Hosts" on the top left side
- The "Manage Web Hosts" window should be displayed
- For each Web Host you wish to create, enter an IP address, a Port #, Host Header Name
and Press "Add Web Host"
- Close "Manage Web Hosts"
- At this point all newly created Web Hosts will appear at the end of the list of all IP
addresses found on the server.
If your Web Site is
mapped to several host name it is necessary to define a Web Host entry for each host name.
For example, if "www.domain.com" and "domain.com" (without "www")
are attached to the same web site, a Web host entry must be created for each host name.
If a SSL connection is attached to a web site, it is necessary to create a web host entry with the Port number used by the SSL connection (Usually 443.)
