Web User Manager Usage Instructions

If needed, download, install and configure DAFTools ASP component and Web User Manager application. Instructions are available on installation page.

Web User Manager can be used according to two modes:

The execution mode cannot be set at run time, but only by editing the DAFCOMMON.INC configuration file. For more information, check the installation page.


With Main Administrator Mode:

1. Run the Web User Manager

With an HTML browser load file "http://www.yourdomain.com/mainuserman"
The following page should be displayed:

2. Log in

important.GIF (334 bytes) Login information is an ASP session property. In other words, it will stay active as long as the ASP session is alive.

3. Select a DAF database to manage

To select a DAF database to manage, you need to select the attached IP address.

4. Manage Users

To manage Web users, use choice "Find User," "Add User," "Modify User" and "Remove User."

The following error is displayed when the Administrator is not logged:

5. Log off

Choose link "Admin Log Off"


With Database Administrator Mode:

1. Run the Web User Manager

With an HTML browser load file "http://www.yourdomain.com/dbuserman"
The following page should be displayed:

2. Log in

important.GIF (334 bytes) Login information is an ASP session property. In other words, it will stay active as long as the ASP session is alive.

3. Manage Users

To manage Web users, use choice "Find User," "Add User," "Modify User" and "Remove User."

The following error is displayed when the Administrator is not logged:
